World Scouts Day was organized in New Delhi under the auspices of The Scouts Guides Organization. It was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief of Indian Army General Bipin Rawat jee by lighting a lamp on the open ground of YMCA on 20 February under the presence of the Director General of NCC Lt. General B S Sherawat and the Addl. Director General of NCC Maj. Gen. G S Talwar. While the closing ceremony concludes on February 22 at Mavalankar Auditorium. Honorable Minister of Health and Family Werfare, Government of India, Shri Ashwini Kumar Choubey, wreath at the portrait of founder Lord Baden Powell on this occasion and felicitated to 15 prominent personalities including Kathak Guru Padamshree Shovna Narayan and others for their kind contribution towards the society. The National Commissioner for India Shri Raj K P Sinha, Director Anita Sinha National Organisaing Commissioner Sandhya Chowdhury Regional Commissioner Pankaj N Chouragade and more than thousand scouters/guiders across the nation were present.
